Capital of Culture
It’s Stockport Town of Culture festivities this weekend which should be a blast - celebrating the glorious metropolis that is Stockport.

Oddly enough, I was having a clear out in Studio and unearthed some old campaign work I had been luckily enough to work on - promoting Liverpool European City of Culture. Way back in the day at the mighty Finch agency.
/
In case you’re wondering, yes that’s me, featured on one of the campaign posters, on the back of the Magical Mystery tour bus being chased by a beautiful lady outside the Walker Art Gallery.
/
God knows how I wangled myself onto that photo shoot - but I do remember it was a cold evenings shoot standing around and was glad into the warmth of the bus.
/
Second one, alas is not me and was a bona fide model despite the resemblance, but it was my scarf worn as a prop. My Gran had bought it for me for Christmas from BHS in Merseyway. (claim to fame alert!)/

As a designer I get so pre-occupied with current and future projects that you rarely get time to stop and take stock on great projects you get to work on. So nice to reflect

Also, it has brought back to mind the amazing Superlambana by Japanese artist Taro Chiezo which was created and decorated everwhere in for the Liverpool City of Culture Celebrations.

Please remember this every time you see one of those darn Frogs around our town and the influence this has brought to all the other local authorities with their fairground bears, hippos, turkeys, badgers etc
